Futamitsuri Bridge
📍 Japan
The Futamitsuri Bridge in Sapporo, Japan is a famous landmark spanning the Toyohira River. It is a bright orange tile-covered bridge, the color chosen to represent the light of the sun and symbolise love and passion between two people. Visitors can enjoy picturesque views of the river and neighbouring ward, such as Sapporo's cityscape, from the pedestrian-friendly bridge. The bridge has been cleverly designed to change its shape from a side view; from straight to curved. It is one of the most photographed bridges in Japan, and a sight often seen in photos and postcards of Sapporo.
