Fuente de la Hispanidad ("Fountain of Hispanicity") is a spectacular monument and landmark located in Zaragoza, Spain. This impressive fountain was constructed in 1992 to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the ‘Reconquista’ (the Reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula) from the Moors. It was created by architect Diego Silvano and consists of two concentric circles made of 8 granite columns surrounded by a bronze enclosure. At night, the fountain is illuminated by multicolored electronic lighting and, during the day, the cascading streams of water provide a refreshing respite from the summer sun. This fountain stands proudly as a visual representation of Zaragoza's rich multicultural history and it is a stunning sight to behold. If you’re in the area, then don’t forget to check out the Fuente de la Hispanidad for a memorable experience.
