
Fröndenberger Wehr is a historic 19th century aqueduct, located in Wickede (Ruhr), Germany. It was built in 1905 and is one of the largest structures of its kind in the country. Today it serves as an attraction for visitors and nature photographers, who come to appreciate its beauty and capture its unique landscape. The aqueduct stands tall above the Ruhr Valley, with its awe-inspiring height being of special interest. Overlooking the steep gorges, the bridge links the two opposing sides of the Ruhr river, making it a magnificent sight in the region. Visitors can get a great view of the aqueduct as well as the landscape of the Ruhr valley from the nearby Overbergblick mountain, located just a few hundred meters away. The place is also a great spot for walking and hiking, with its trails perfect for exploring the stunning scenery and discovering its hidden treasures.
