
Freiburg Cathedral, or the Münster of Freiburg, is a stunning Gothic structure located in the town of Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. It is the centerpiece of the Old Town of Freiburg, and a separate enclave within the city. The Cathedral of Freiburg is one of the most impressive and recognizable sights in the area, and is one of the oldest churches in Germany. It was built between 1200 and 1230, and was later expanded and completed in 1513. It features two towers: the northern tower is over 94m tall, and the southern tower is over 95m tall. The interior of the Cathedral includes a nave, transept, altar area, crypt and chancel. The Cathedral of Freiburg also contains a number of valuable artworks, such as the stained glass windows, an altar painting by Hans Baldung Grien, and several others. Visitors can explore the entire Cathedral, including its chapels, and can also climb the staircase to the top of the northern tower.
