Frauenkirche and St Peter Church - Tower Alter Peter are two impressive landmarks located in the bustling city of Munich, Germany. Frauenkirche is considered a symbol for the city, with its impressive domes proudly towering above the city skyline. St Peter Church was once the tallest building in the city when it was completed in 1523, but is now dwarfed by the skyscrapers surrounding it. The 288-foot tower, Alter Peter, is part of the Southern end of the church and is a great spot to take in panoramic views of the city. Visitors can also explore the church itself and its old crypts or take an elevator to the top of the tower for a stunning view along the river Isar. Exploring the nearby Viktualienmarkt food market is also a great way to get a taste of Munich culture.
