Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof is the largest train station in Germany. Located in the city of Frankfurt am Main, it is a major transportation hub, serving millions of passengers each year. The station was opened in 1888 and is currently operated by Deutsche Bahn, Germany's main railway operator. The station serves many regional and international trains, and it's directly connected to the metropolitan area with the S-Bahn network. The station has two main concourses, plus two additional floors serving mainly local transport. The Main Hall is a sprawling home to many shops, fast food restaurants and banks. The station also provides services such as lost & found, internet terminals, information desks and car rental. With its iconic architectural style, Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof is one of the oldest and busiest station in Europe, and a must for anyone visiting the city.
