📍 From South-West Side, Poland
The magnificent Fountain in Łazienki Park, Warsaw is one of the most history-rich sites in the city. Situated at the center of the romantic landscape of Łazienki Park, this Baroque-style fountain made of brick and limestone was designed by Domenico Merlini in 1760. It is a sight to behold, with its towering plume of water, reaching up to 4 meters in the air, and its bottom adorned with the statues of the four Greek mythological rivers. Surrounding the fountain is a large square, framing the fountain with its stone benches, flagstones and wonderful flora in the back. It is said that the great Polish composer Chopin used to perform piano recitals here, as did other great musicians throughout the years. The atmosphere of this site is simply unparalleled, perfect for a peaceful stroll or just simply enjoying the beauty of nature's works. Here you can take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the timelessness of the scene.
