The Forteresse de La Pointe de La Crèche in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France is an ancient maritime fortress that was built in the 16th century. It is located on a peninsula near the coastal town and boasts impressive views over the English Channel, the Hague and the French Coast. Visitors can take a walk around the fort, which is surrounded by a moat and defended by bunkers and gun turrets. Inside, the maze of walls allows visitors to delve into history and explore some of the underground bunkers and storage rooms. Regular guided tours are available throughout the year.
