Fort Lovrijenac, commonly known as "St. Lawrence's Fort" or simply as "Dubrovnik's Gibraltar", is a fortress located in Dubrovnik, Croatia on the western side of the city. It is one of the most recognizable symbols of the city and one of its most visited tourist attractions. Built in the 11th century, the fort was an important defensive bulwark for the city, protecting it from external threats and invasions. Today, it remains a popular attraction for visitors who come to admire its stunning architecture and breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding islands.
