Fort La Latte is an impressive medieval castle situated on a rocky cliff along the northern coast of Brittany near Plévenon, France. Built in the 13th century by the Chatelain of Dinan, Jacques de Penthièvre, the fort was besieged and held at varying times by the French and the English during the Hundred Year's War. It stands 68 metres above sea level, with the view overlooking the Bay of St. Malo. Restored in 1954, Fort La Latte is open to the public and includes historical artifacts, musket galleries, and even a dungeon. It is also a popular filming location, appearing in movies such as The Two Musketeers. Visitors can enjoy the rocky cliff sides, picturesque views, panoramic sea views, and of course the castle although they cannot stay there overnight. Bring a picnic and take time to explore the area!
