Foro Traiano is a large Roman forum located in the center of Rome. It was constructed by the Roman Emperor Trajan in the 2nd century AD and is dedicated to him. The palace has been partially reconstructed and is a part of the Imperial Fora of Rome. This rectangular-shaped ancient site contains several structures and monuments, including the forum and the Column of Trajan. The forum, with its semicircular portico, was a meeting place for the Emperor and the Senate to discuss political and military affairs. The Column of Trajan stands over 30 meters high and is decorated with reliefs depicting scenes from the Dacian Wars. In the center of the forum stands the remains of a Roman equestrian statue. Visitors can also get a glimpse of the remains of the Temple of Divus Traianus, which was dedicated to Trajan as a immortalized Emperor. Foro Traiano is an important part of Rome's heritage and a reminder of the grandeur of the Roman Empire.
