Foro Italico is a grand area in the centre of Palermo, Italy. It is surrounded by the bright yellow buildings of the Municipal Palace, the Teatro Massimo, the 18th century Palazzo Costanzo, and many other buildings and churches. Within Foro Italico you can find a number of fountains, ruins of ancient buildings, baroque sculptures, and the most famous of all, the Fountain of the Four Quarters. There is also a diverse range of vegetation, from the palm trees and lavender to its many jasmine-empty spots and historic olive trees. Foro Italico is a great place for a stroll, day or night. In addition, it offers plenty of cultural activities from a variety of museums, art galleries and theaters to city folklore performances.It is definitely worth visiting, even just for a little while!
