
Forcella Giau is a mountain pass in Italy's northern Dolomites. It's part of the long strada militare that snakes through the stunning mountain range and provides amazing views for travelers. At an elevation of 2262 m, the pass is surrounded by the grandiose scenery of Mount Croda da Lago and steep cliffs for climbers to explore. The pass is also a great starting point for adventurous travelers looking to embark on multi-day hikes and trekking routes in the heart of the Dolomites. Forcella Giau is also a great spot for summer activities like mountain biking, paragliding, and road trips. It is located south of San Vito di Cadore and can be reached via the Passo Giau road.
