Fontana delle Naiadi is a stunning fountain located in the Piazza della Repubblica in Rome, Italy. It was built between 1887 and 1896 by Antonio Riol, the same sculptor responsible for the nearby Fontana di Piazza Barberini. The fountain is really impressive, featuring four female figures standing atop a column, representing the four major rivers that run through Rome: the Aniene, the Tiber, the Nera, and the Arno. The water shoots up from the sculptures' outstretched hands, and at night it is beautifully illuminated. It's definitely worth stopping by during your visit to Rome even if you don't have time for photos, as it's the only one of Rome's fountains of this structure and size. Enjoy!
