Folkestone Harbour Arm is a long pier in the Folkestone Harbour in Folkestone, England. It was originally built in the early 19th century as a landing point for ferry traffic, and continues to be a popular stop for pleasure boats today. It is also a popular spot for walkers, fishermen, and photographers. At the end of the pier is the iconic structure known as the Creative Foundation, a sculpture of a ship's smokestack with an observation deck and a cafe. The view from the pier is stunning, with the town nestled between the sea and the chalk cliffs of the nearby Dover. As you stroll along the pier you will come across the odd small craft harbour, some lovely little coves, and plenty of benches and shelters. Whether you're a tourist or a local, the Harbour Arm provides a tranquil and picturesque place to escape to.
