Hatsukaichi's Floating Shrine is a unique yet beautiful sight to behold in the Hiroshima region. Located in the Seto Inland Sea, the shrine is made of wooden logs and held up by pillars in the water. Freely floating between the Inland Sea and Miyajima Numa, the shrine is part of the larger Hiroshima Prefectural Shrine. The shrine featured a beautiful torii gate and several statues beautifully perched on the 3 logs. Spending a day here will give visitors the opportunity to appreciate a picturesque view of nature and traditional culture. The shrine reflects Japan's age-old ingenuity, cooperation and respect for nature and will definitely be an unforgettable experience.
