Kota Kinabalu City Mosque, also known as the Floating Mosque, is one of the most prominent landmarks in Kota Kinabalu. Its unique design and its position right next to the sea make it a truly breathtaking sight. The mosque has a capacity of 5,000 people and features two domes and two minarets. During the day, it reflects the sunlight with its numerous windows and gold trims, and at night, it is illuminated by traditional lanterns. It is a spectacular sight to behold, both during the day and at night. As the mosque is open to visitors, all visitors must dress modestly and follow Islamic customs. Make sure you've taken your shoes off and have respected the cultural sensitivities before entering the premises. Definitely worth a visit for its majestic sight!
