Fliegerhorst Rundbogen hangar in Straelen, Germany is an impressive piece of engineering and history. Constructed in the 1930s, the hangar is a huge steel-reinforced brick round arch construction. It was used by the military during World War II and during the Cold War as a storage facility. Today, the hangar is free to explore and makes for a great photography opportunity. The curved roof of the building and the red brick walls make for a great backdrop. Inside, visitors can find old military memorabilia and war artifacts scattered around the space that will both provide interesting visuals and serve as a reminder of past events. The hangar is a short drive away from the main city of Straelen, and a visit is definitely worth a few hours of your time.
