Fjallsárlón Iceberg Lagoon is a stunning glacial lagoon located south of the Vatnajökull glacier in Iceland. Its crystal-clear waters are a deep blue and are full of huge icebergs, making it a spectacular site for photographers and travel enthusiasts. The lagoon has a very varied landscape, from the shoreline where pieces of ice have washed ashore, to small islands of ice in the middle of the lake, or the large billowing icebergs that move slowly in the water. Its flora and fauna are equally impressive; the closest beach is full of birds, small seals and fish, often times captured in striking photographs. The best way to experience Fjallsárlón Iceberg Lagoon is to explore slowly on foot or by boat and to observe the different pieces of ice slowly rising and sinking with the tide.
