Fasilides' Bath is an impressive and historic site in Gondar, Ethiopia. Built in the 17th century, it is a complex series of open-air stone pools surrounded by a wall and lush gardens. It is believed by many to be the location of the coronation of Ethiopia’s first emperor, as well as a site of sacred worship. Visitors to the area can view historic frescoes, arches, and other architectural details around the baths. A fortified wall surrounds them and the grounds feature large stone canals. Today, the baths are still fed by a nearby spring and are a popular destination for locals and tourists alike who enjoy the lush gardens and the traditional atmosphere of the area.
