The Faro de la Calzada de Amador is a waterfront landmark on the Amador Causeway, which extends into the Bay of Panama near the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. The causeway links the mainland with the islands of Naos, Perico, Culebra and Flamenco and was built partly from rock excavated during canal construction. Its maritime setting gives the lighthouse strong local context: photographs can frame it against the bay and Panama City’s high-rise skyline, while views toward the canal side include passing ships and the Bridge of the Americas. The long, open shoreline also creates clean horizons and broad reflections when the water is calm.
