The Faraglioni are three limestone sea stacks rising just off Capri’s southeastern coast in the Metropolitan City of Naples. Stella stands nearest the island, Mezzo is pierced by a broad natural arch often crossed by small boats, and Scopolo forms the outermost pillar. Shaped by marine erosion, their pale, sheer faces and narrow channels create Capri’s most recognizable coastal silhouette. The formations can be photographed at sea level from a boat or from above along the Tragara side of the island, where vegetation and cliff edges frame the stacks against the open Mediterranean.
