📍 From Inside, Poland
Poznań’s Fara is a monumental Baroque parish church just south of the Old Market Square, closing the view along Świętosławska Street. Built for the Jesuits in the 17th and early 18th centuries, it forms part of a former Jesuit complex that helped shape the city’s religious and educational life. Its pink-and-white façade, layered with pilasters, niches and sculpture, stands out against the narrow streets of the Old Town. Inside, towering reddish columns, gilded altars and painted vaults create a striking sense of depth and theatrical grandeur. The 19th-century organ by Friedrich Ladegast is another notable feature of the interior. For photographs, the street’s converging façades provide a distinctive frame for the church front, while the repeated columns and richly ornamented sanctuary reveal the scale of the interior.
