Fannette Island, located in Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe in United States, is a small island with spectacular views of the lake and surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is the only island in the lake and home to a historical structure called the "Tea House." Built as an open-air pavilion in 1929 by heiress and Emerald Bay resident, Lora Knight, the Tea House has a curved, slanted roof and gabled entrance. Visitors can take the short trail from the Eagle Point Campground to the island’s dock and take in the stunning views of the Emerald Bay and Lake Tahoe. On the island you can also find some great spots for fishing off the shores.
