Located in Arryheernabin, the lighthouse is situated on the Fanad Peninsula, part of the Wild Atlantic Way. The structure stands at a majestic 61.5 metres high, allowing it to be seen from nearby communities over the surrounding hills. It is a popular spot for walks along the coast and a must-see for photographers and sightseers. The lighthouse is accessible either by a ten-minute car journey from the nearby Derry Ormond Caravan Park or by following a trail from the village of Letterfad. With its spectacular views of the ocean, rugged coastline, and wild beauty, Fanad Head is a true hidden gem of the Irish northwest.
