Fallmeisterturm is a historic tower in Marktbreit, a Lower Franconian town on the River Main. Its name preserves the old term *Fallmeister*, a person responsible for removing and disposing of dead animals. That unglamorous work was part of everyday town life, though it rarely appears in picturesque accounts of the past. The tower’s upright silhouette gives this overlooked history a visible place among Marktbreit’s older buildings.
