Falaises de Caudon
📍 France
The Falaises de Caudon are limestone cliffs overlooking the Dordogne near Vitrac, in the Périgord Noir of southwestern France. Their pale, exposed faces reveal the rock through which the river has carved its valley, contrasting with the wooded heights above. Seen from the water, the cliffs become a striking backdrop to the river corridor: ledges and dark fissures interrupt the light-colored stone, while passing canoes give a human scale to the rock walls.
