📍 From Exit Glacier Viewpoint, United States
Exit Glacier descends from the Harding Icefield into a broad valley near Bear Creek and Seward, in Alaska’s Kenai Fjords National Park. Unlike the park’s tidewater glaciers, it can be approached by road and trail. Its blue ice and crevasses stand against bare rock and young vegetation on ground exposed by the retreating ice. Dated markers along the approach show where the glacier’s edge stood in earlier years, making that change visible across the valley.
