
The Everett Covered Bridge was built in 1867 in Peninsula, Ohio, United States. Although no longer open to vehicular traffic, the bridge is still open to pedestrians. At 206 feet, it is the longest covered bridge in the United States that spans the length of a lake. The Everett Covered Bridge also has the distinction of having been added to the National Register of Historic Places, making it a must-see attraction. Among its many features are three levels of open arches, two sets of diagonal brace trusses and a roof supported by a traditional arch truss. Visitors can walk along the bridge and experience its unique architecture, making for some great photo ops and sightseeing opportunities.
