Etang de Cazaux-Sanguinet is a freshwater lake located in La Teste-de-Buch, France. The lake is part of the Landes region and provides beautiful views for the visitors. Due to the presence of some rare plants and animals, it is a protected area, registered as an ecological reserve and listed among the Areas of Natural Interest. Popular with fish and boaters, the lake also offers many opportunities for bird watchers, with the most common species found in the area being the great crested grebe, bittern, Eurasian coot, little grebe and whiskered tern. For those interested in nature photography, Etang de Cazaux-Sanguinet provides good wildlife scenes and spectacular landscapes. Some parts of the lake are accessible on foot, while a boat ride may be your best option for getting closer to the water.
