The Estatua José José statue in Mexico City is a tribute to the legendary Mexican singer and his career. The bronze statue was erected in 2019 in the corner of Amberes and Paseo de la Reforma in the upmarket Roma district of the city. It was designed by Yolanda Contreras and is 11m tall. The 10 m high pedestal features the singer's iconic lyrics and quotes in aluminium. It is a public, open air space, well lit at night, so it is easy to see the statue from the street. Photos of the statue can make an excellent addition to any collection of Mexican culture and music.
