📍 Spain
Esfera Bioclimática Expo92, located in the Seville province of Spain is an iconic sphere that is part of the historical and architectural legacy of the 1992 Universal Exposition. The sphere was designed by the prestigious Manuel de la Calva architect, and inaugurated on October 20, 1992. Its dome consists of 5,000 parts in three levels, the largest of them being 58 meters in diameter, making it one of the world's largest domes with such volume. It is constructed using rhombic polygons, illuminated with floodlights: a unique combination that produces incredible plays of light. The interior and exterior walls of the dome are laden with vivid and striking floral motifs, making it a must-visit landmark. Visitors can appreciate its beautiful design from the outside or take a guided tour to observe its interior where the original temporary works of the Universal Exposition of Seville remain.
