Escolanía Del Escorial and Parque Almirante Carrero Blanco share the same grounds in the sunny region of Madrid, Spain. The Escorial is a magnificent monastery and palace complex, constructed by King Philip II in the 16th century, that includes several gardens, artworks, and the iconic basilica. Today it is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-see when visiting Madrid. Parque Almirante Carrero Blanco is an amazing nature getaway within the town, with a wealth of wildlife, charming lagoons and forests, and breathtaking vistas. There are also significant historical sites scattered around the park, including the old walled town of San Lorenzo de El Escorial and several pre-Roman archaeological sites. The park is a great spot for hikes, picnics, bike rides and other outdoor activities.
