The staircase has approximately 487 steps, providing different perspectives and photography opportunities of the waterfall as you ascend. The area is exceptionally picturesque in autumn when the foliage transforms into shades of red and gold. In winter, the spray from the falls creates a 'sugar loaf' of ice at its base.
