
The Ermita de Nuestra Señora de las Vegas, in Requijada, Spain, is a hispanic baroque chapel built in the late 18th century. It sits on a rocky hill, commanding panoramic views of the surrounding area. The main facade is decorated with a carved stone altarpiece of oval shape with images of marvelous angels, cherubs and flowers. The interior is a single nave with a high vaulted roof. The main altar is a piece of renaissance art, that is topped by a big image of Our Lady of Las Vegas. The chapel also houses a beautiful, gilded wood image of St. Christopher, the patron saint of travelers. Visitors of this place of worship often take a moment of prayer or a moment of admiration for its architecture and beauty.
