Erft in Bad Münstereifel is a small and tranquil village located in South West of Germany. It is part of the High Middle Eifel Natural Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. As you walk through its picturesque streets, you can take in the classic timber-framed buildings, the idyllic streams, and the undulating vineyards.

Vor der Jahrhundert Flut, meaning “before the century's flood,” is a nature reserve and mountain bike trail located nearby. It offers visitors an opportunity to experience 400 million years of evolution and fossilised plants from past epochs. The 10 km long path starts at the Erftmündung, the outlet of the Erft river. Along the route, you can observe unique views of mixed deciduous and coniferous woodlands, see the old Roman Roads, and explore recent archaeological finds. If you'd like to stay longer, there are plenty of activities to enjoy in Bad Münstereifel, such as hiking, horse-riding and kayaking. There's also an excellent selection of cultural attractions, such as the amusement park 'Münsterland Adventure Park' and various museums. In the summer months, music festivals and open-air cinema light up the town.
