Eremo di Santa Caterina del Sasso is an ancient monastery perched on a limestone outcropping towering above Lake Maggiore, in Leggiuno, an hour and a half drive from Milan. The structure is composed of two churches, one by the shore and the second, higher, atop a ledge.
