The Sacello degli Agustali is an ancient Roman religious shrine in Ercolano, Italy. It was discovered in the 1950s during archaeological excavations, and is said to have been built between the 1st and 4th centuries AD. The shrine, which lies underground, is said to be the oldest structure in Ercolano, and is one of the few remaining examples of an early Roman architectural form. The shrine is rectangular in shape and consists of several columns and an altar. Although not much is known about the original function of the shrine, it is believed to have been a place of devotion and worship. It is now a protected historical site, and open to the public during regular hours. Visiting the shrine is a great way to experience a bit of Ercolano's rich Roman history.
