Enchanted Rock is a massive 425-foot-high granite dome located near Crabapple, Texas, in the Llano Uplift geographical region of the United States. It is the largest pink granite monolith in the United States, and has been designated a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service. It is also the second largest rock in the state of Texas after the much more famous Stone Mountain near San Antonio. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, and is popular amongst hikers and nature lovers since it is open from early morning until late evening. There are numerous trails up and around the rock, and camping is also available. Additionally, you can take guided night hikes and star gazing events hosted by the park rangers.
