Émosson is a stunning mountain lake located in the heart of the Swiss Alps in Finhaut, Switzerland. With expansive views of the Mont Blanc massif, Émosson is an ideal spot for hikers, photographers, and nature lovers alike. The trail leading to the lake begins at the Col des Montets car park, where visitors can pick up several stunning hikes with varying levels of difficulty. Hikers will appreciate the picture-perfect views of the snow-capped mountains and Alpine meadows of the alpine region, from the gentle Butte de l’A Neuve trail to the more advanced hike up to the Véneon waterfall. On the lake’s shore is the lovely “Chalet d’Émosson,” where the Émosson hydro-electric power station is located. Perched on the lake’s edge, it offers spectacular panoramas of the Mont Blanc range and the surrounding Alps.
