Emerald Lake is one of the most beautiful and iconic landscapes in the Yoho National Park in Field, Canada. Located almost 9 kilometers northeast of Field, the Emerald Lake is known for its namesake emerald color and stunning surroundings. The lake is surrounded by majestic mountains and ancient glaciers, which contrasts beautifully with the clear green waters. During the summer season, you can enjoy a leisure walk around the lake, and from June to September, canoes and paddle boat rentals are available. There are also several hiking trails and an interpretive center that explain the ecology of the area. The Emerald Lake Lodge and Emerald Lake Boat House offer a delightful lakeside dining experience with mountain views. Photographers can get stunning shots across the lake of the picturesque landscape and the many wild animals (mountain goats, elk and bears) in the area.
