Embalse de Trasona is a reservoir located at Overo, in the mountainous region of Monfero, Leon, Spain. Stretching for over 8 miles, the lake and its nearby environment is a great place for nature lovers. There is a mountain lookout point at the viewpoint of La Pereda, offering stunning views of the lake and the surrounding areas. There is a hiking path and mountain bike tracks, as well as a picnic area which includes camping grounds, picnic and BBQ spaces, and a playground. The lake is also surrounded by a variety of species, such as birds, including the Black Stork, ospreys, and grey herons, as well as wild animals, and trout fishing is also popular. The environment is very diverse, as it is located in the mountainous region. Visitors can also explore the beautiful rivers and streams that run all around the lake, adding to the amazing landscapes.
