Ellsworth Storey’s Tower stands near the summit of Mount Constitution in Moran State Park, offering some of the best panoramic views of the surrounding San Juan Islands, snow-capped Mount Baker, and beyond. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, it showcases a medieval-style design reminiscent of a European fortress. After a scenic drive up the mountain, visitors can ascend the stone staircase to the observation deck, which provides photo-worthy vistas in every direction.
