📍 From Inside, France
Église Saint-Nicolas stands in Beaune’s northern faubourg, beyond the medieval town walls and separate from the collegiate church of Notre-Dame in the center. The Saint-Nicolas quarter has long been associated with winegrowers, linking the church to the everyday community behind Burgundy’s wine culture. Its stone masonry and bell tower form a landmark along Rue du Faubourg Saint-Nicolas; including the neighboring houses in the frame shows how closely the church belongs to the streetscape of this historic suburb.
