Église Saint Étienne is a monumental church located in the village of Cheverny, France. This Romanesque style church dates back to the 13th century and is one of the most important monuments in the region. It has a typical layout, with three naves, a cross vault and an octagonal bell tower with a steeple. The west facade is the most remarkable, with three portals with archivolts, which probably replaced an earlier façade. Inside, you will find impressive stained glass windows and a beautiful wooden rood screen, dating from the 16th century. The church also houses a collection of furniture and statues from the 12th and 13th centuries. The church is worth a visit for its historical significance and interesting architecture.
