The Edifício Copan is a residential building located in the center of República neighborhood, in São Paulo, Brazil. It was designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and inaugurated in 1966. The building is 321 meters long and has 38 floors. It is considered an icon of modernism and a landmark in Brazil. The building has a unique shape, with each floor slanting three degrees from the one below it, resulting in a spiral staircase effect. It also has a white façade with colored tiles, and a swimming pool placed in the middle of its rooftops. There is also an amphitheater, bar and restaurant, meeting rooms and a gym. The Edifício Copan is open for the public to visit and take pictures. There are many photo opportunities from the building's rooftop to its interiors, including its unique central staircase.
