Edifício Altino Arantes is a 19-story building which stands at 160 meters, making it the tallest building of the center in São Paulo. It is located at the historical Paulista Avenue and was designed by the renowned Brazilian architect Spartan Valentim. When it was finished in 1945, it was the tallest skyscraper in Latin America until 1961. Its facade is decorated with diamond shaped glazing. There is a large clock on the top of the building and it is the second most important landmark of the city after the Obelisk of Ibirapuera Park. On the ground level, the visitors can enjoy stylish restaurants and the modern style of architecture. Edifício Altino Arantes – which is worth a visit for any traveler - is one of the most iconic buildings in São Paulo city, and its admiration dates back long time ago.
