Dwór Cechu Młynarzy is a two-storey building in the centre of Gdansk, Poland. Built in 1771, the building has a very interesting history, for it has been used as a court for the guild of millers, a brewery, a prison and a museum of pre-industrial civilization. Today, it houses the Gdańsk History Museum, whose collection focuses on the city's past in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The building retains much of its original character, and its neoclassical arcades, decorative friezes and an outdoor garden make it a wonderful place to stroll around and explore. The museum offers interactive exhibits, multimedia presentations and educational programs that makes it even more interesting and memorable. Onsite, visitors will find several restaurants offering local dishes, as well as shops selling souvenirs and other items related to the area.
