The Duomo di Amalfi, located in the coastal Italian city of Amalfi, is an iconic and historically significant building that serves as a testament to the city’s prestigious past. Built between 1086 and 1180, the cathedral was originally dedicated to Saint Andrew, the patron saint of Amalfi, as well as to the Virgin Mary and Jesus. Featuring a distinctive Romanesque style architecture, the Duomo di Amalfi is built in a spectacular setting, perched upon a steep staircase that provides visitors with breathtaking views. The highlights of the Duomo di Amalfi include the facade, decorated with carved figures, the crypt and the Sagrestia Vecchia, which are all open to the public.
