Dundurn Castle is a 19th-century Italianate-style mansion and national historic site in Hamilton, Canada. The historic house and grounds provide visitors with a glimpse of the life and times of pre-Confederation Ontario, when the prominence of the McQuesten family was paramount in local society. The two-storey neoclassical sandstone villa is set in an idyllic rural setting, while its interior is filled with period and replica furnishings. Self-guided audio tours explore the home’s 34 rooms, while guides provide informative talks on a daily basis. Outdoor options include 60 acres of parkland with four garden terraces, a working kitchen garden, and a lookout point on the park's highest point. Dundurn Castle is open from Victoria Day weekend until Thanksgiving Day.
